These are exciting times for Vanderbilt Athletics. Our teams are competing at their
highest levels ever and enjoying unprecedented success; including No. 1 rankings, Southeastern Conference titles, a first-ever National Championship and a win over Boston College in the 2008 Music City Bowl. We've done all this while not compromising our golden academic standards. In fact, the Commodores have never been more successful in the classroom.
Investing in the future of Vanderbilt student-athletes symbolizes your commitment to the mission and vision of Vanderbilt Athletics. Generosity from alumni and friends enables students to pursue a world-class education while competing in the toughest athletic conference in the nation.
Vanderbilt Athletics Development at Work:
Facilities Campaign - To maximize the athletic competitiveness of our student-athletes as well as ensure the comfort, safety, and enjoyment of our fans, the athletics facility improvement campaign will bring modern amenities to our key sports venues while preserving and reflecting the architectural traditions of Vanderbilt's historic campus. Goal: $50 million
Growing the Endowment - With your help, the scholarship endowment will allow students to attend Vanderbilt and participate in varsity athletics. Gifts and pledges to the athletics endowment can be made in a variety of ways and paid over a period of up to five years. Goal: $25 million
The National Commodore Club - The cost of scholarships for our student-athletes comprises almost a third of the entire athletics budget. Your annual contribution to the NCC helps offset these costs as well as other program costs in all 16 sports. Supporting the NCC is the best way to help ALL our student-athletes pursue their academic and athletic ambitions. NCC contributions entitle members to certain benefits such as priority seating, parking, and other benefits at each level of giving. If you live too far away to enjoy the ticket and parking benefits of membership, please consider a gift to the NCC that will help change lives of our student-athletes, build on our current athletic success and help secure the future of Vanderbilt Athletics.
Don't let Vanderbilt's recent success be short-lived. Consider how you can participate and help make recent accomplishments become the standard. Help us maintain our momentum and build upon our accomplishments. Now, it is up to each of us to step forward. If not us, who? If not now, when?
